Happy Birthday BoA!!!!!
It has been around 3 years since the first time I hear her songs. The very 1st time I heard it, I was immediately ‘hooked’ with her songs. Her beautiful, pretty face and especially her wonderful voice have made me ‘fall in love’ with her. I don’t really know her until one day, after the PMR exam was over, a friend of mine recommended a song for me to hear (Everyheart). He said that he liked the song and asked me to listened to it and give some comments. The song’s duration is about 3 minutes and a half and that’s the time I realised what i had missing so far. After hearing the song, I was determined to go back home and immediately find out more about the singer through internet. Unfortunately, after playing a few computer games, I forgot to search about her and the determination faded away. (What can I say? I just finish my PMR exam, so must play computer games until crazy)
Few months passed and soon, Chinese New Year had arrived. So, my family and I went back to hometown (Johor) for the reunion dinner. For me, I never like the idea of travel back to hometown to meet my uncles, aunts and cousins. In fact, I wished that the Chinese New Year will never exist. I will discuss the reasons behind this next time. For now, the most important thing is the discovery of my idol. On the third day of Chinese New Year, I was reading the newspaper (my most favourite past time during chinese new year) when suddenly, there was an ad on the television. It was BoA!!!! But I don’t realised about the ad cause i was busy reading the newspaper. My mom who was watching the tv, called me and asked me, “Yeon Ciat, you always hear this type of song right?”. Then only I noticed it was her. I was speechless and stunned at the same time. I never know that her ad was on the tv. I still remember it was the singapore’s channel ( I can watched it cause in johor, v can watch the singaporean’s channel) and the ad was about her album release. That’s the moment I promised myself that I WILL find out more about her. And this also marked the 1st time that i’m glad to go back hometown cause if i didn’t, i would never able to know her.
Once the chinese new year had over (thank god), I quickly asked a friend to help me download most of her songs. That time, i was still using the telephone line for internet, so i think it will be faster if i asked him to help me download. The more i listened to her songs, the more i’m attracted to her.
As the years past by, she had grown into a fine and pretty lady. She had changed from a cute girl to an extreme beautiful lady. But there is one thing that has never change; which is her lovely voice and her talent of capturing everyone heart through her songs.
