RIP Grandpa

Estimated departure time: 3.30am, 16th September 2012.

This was the second time I went to a funeral. The first was my mom’s dad.

He passed away on Sunday but the funeral was to be conducted on Wednesday (19.09.2012) and coincidently, my last exam paper was on tuesday, so I was able to return back for the funeral.

I didn’t expect that there would be so much drama even after his death. Some people just couldn’t let go and have to be mean to each other.

But the beautiful part of the event was during the marching around the housing area. It was sunny and the sun was really bright but the moment we started walking, out of sudden, it started drizzling. The drizzling continued until we reached the funeral site and completely stop when everyone had gathered there. I find it very interesting.

Anyway, we will definitely miss your presence. Rest in peace grandpa.

 

Not worth doing anymore

It happened again.

But this time, you built the thickest barrier between us.

I have always tried to understand you,

Tried to comfort you,

Tried to assure you that everything will be okay,

That I will there for you if you need any help.

All you need to do is just say it out.

Burden is always your reason but do you truly know who actually bears the real burden?

Of seeing you sad most of time,

Of seeing you laughing with your friends but deep down, you still feel alone,

Of being treated coldly by you.

You want friends whom you can trust and yet, you refuse to loosen up and trust someone else.

You complained that nobody understand your feelings,

But that’s how real life is; nobody would understand your feelings till you share them.

You cannot expect anyone can read you like a book.

The more I tried, the more you shunned me away.

Our deal and the time we spent the past few weeks,

I thought it can change you into a more positive person, a person who wouldn’t find fault in everything,

But I was wrong.

And with that, I’ll stop trying now.
