Congratz on your winning of first place in Women’s 5km category!! Really happy for ya!

Usually for most of us, 10 seconds doesn’t mean much and we treated it like how we treat our 10 cent, something so small in value that we don’t mind of just letting it go. But for this run, that mere 10 seconds make all the differences; that was the time difference between the first place and the second place participant. The outcome could have easily change if Cass had chose to take a longer break and walk for an extra 10 seconds. Or if the second place participant chose to enter berserker mode and sprint like mad for the final 10 seconds.

This brings us to the lesson of the day. If you really want something, you gotta work hard for it. People who wanted the same thing won’t be waiting around until you get what you want. Every second that you slack off, is a second gained by your competitor.
