Batman Arkham Asylum

The game was released few years ago, but I just got it from
a friend this month. Was super excited cause I finally get to play as the world
greatest detective! (stand aside Sherlock) Now that the silly exams were over,
I quickly rush home that day and install the game. Everything was ok so far,
the installation completed and the icon appeared in my desktop. Click it and
error message appear: “The component xxx is not in your drive. Please install
again”

But I refuse to give up. Searched through the internet,
downloaded the necessary dll files, copied and pasted, and TADAA!!

I was so happy to finally able to  run the program. In fact, I’m so happy that when the game told me that the profile is
not available, I ignore it and straight away play it. After playing for 1 hour,
I wanted to save the game to rest but couldn’t find the save option. So I thought
maybe I can’t save now and have to continue to play to certain stage to save. 1
more hour of playing, but I still couldn’t save the game. I was starting to
feel suspicious but continue playing anyway, hoping that at certain point, they
will allowed me to save the game. Another 1 hour of playing, and still couldn’t
save. At that moment, I was like “OMGGGGG!!!! What the hell???!!!” After
playing for 3 hours, and I can’t save my progress??

But I still don’t want to give up! Searched through the
internet again and this is what I found out: The game was somehow under Windows
Live Game and to save the game, you must register online, create your profile
online, and save your game online. And to register, you must have the game
activation code. Ok, I give up…

The game is a pirated version, so there’s no way I can get
that code. And what a waste!! That game is the coolest game I ever play so far.
I really like the tone of the game, and the Batman, wow, never see him that
cool before! Everything about the game score 9.8/10 for me. The best part is
that as you progress through the level, Batman will start to show some wounds
from all the battle. Totally WOW!!

So what if I can’t save the game. I will continue to play
the game without switching off my laptop until I finish the game. Sound like a
nice plan huh. Well, I play for 4+ hours and maybe it’s because of the way I
click my mouse, the window stop responding. Nice~~~~~

Some lecturers can be so inconsiderate. You chose to change
the exam into a closed book exam instead of an open book. We are ok with that.
You make us believe that by doing so, you are lowering the standard. Then, when
one of your students asked you to upload the formula sheet, you chose not to.
It’s like you afraid that we will know what’s coming out just by looking at the
formula sheet. But we are still ok with that, no one argue with you. When the
exam day came, you thought it will a smart move to exclude some of the
formulas. Maybe it’s nothing for you but it’s really matter to some who depend
on it to get full marks for that particular question.

Luckily, my animal instinct warned me about it and I was
glad that I had spent some time memorizing all the stupid formulas. But you
still win, my dear lecturer, because of that question, I didn’t have enough
time to complete 1 question.

Haiz~~ Was hoping that what I did is enough to pass this damn
subject. Feel really pity to those affected by the formula stuff. There were a
few students who asked him about it, and all he did was to go in front of the
class and told everyone not to ask him this anymore. He said we should be
deriving it our own self since it’s a secondary school math. WTH. Who have the
freaking time to derive the equations??!! Most of the students would be panic
by now and it’s stressful to come up with equations in panic mode.

It maybe a little bit too late but, BEST of luck everyone for scoring this
subject.

 

RC Assignment

Finallyyyy!! After several days doing nothing but this
assignment, finally it’s over!! Gotta say that this assignment by far is the
thickest, most time consuming and expensive one. The assignment is to design 3 levels
(roof, 1st and 2nd floor) and it requires lots and lots of calculations. I
don’t think it’s really worth it to do this design project cause most probably
won’t use this method in real working life. What happen if I were to build a
building as tall as KLCC?? The calculations involved will cover more pages than
all 7 Harry Porter novel combined together. Some might argue that we must know
the fundamental concepts 1st, only then can know the detail parts. I would
totally agree with the person’s argument if he/she will start learning autocad
by sketching using pencil, or learn programming by creating the code itself.

The images are a bit blur but you can roughly see how thick it is by looking at the 3rd picture. And a senior said it is something normal. =.=

Anyway, this project had made me love my laptop even more. It
had been staying up late with me throughout the weeks and there are plenty of
eye contacts between us. When it’s time for me to take a short nap, it will
follow suit by entering the sleep mode. Sometimes it can be too playful and
decides to mess around with me by going ‘hang’. And if I’m bored, we will play
some games together but I seriously hate playing chess with it.. Seriously, what would I do without you..
