This is the first time I actually travel on my own to other state, which really is a one of a kind experience. The original plan was to have someone to accompany me to travel by train but unfortunately, due to some unforeseen events, I end up travel alone by bus. I don’t know why some people view traveling alone as very lonely, because it was really fun. If you travel in a huge pack, your movement is very limited and you tend to just follow whoever walk first. By traveling alone, you will have less restrain to explore.
The first destination is Batu Pahat and I reached there just in time for lunch. I met Jie Jing at the bus terminal and she took me around her town. I wish I can elaborate more about the details of our trip but I’m not very good at writing this kind of stuff. So, I’m just going to keep it short and simple.
Food that we ate: Nasi beriani with mutton, a rice cracker (not really sure what to call it) with chilli and soy sauce, and malay fried food as tea break.
Places that we visited: A chinese temple which I forgot to find out its name, the deck along the sea, Perigi Batu Pahat, and Jie Jing’s home.
From what I see, it seems like the only reason people visit this temple is to get a jackpot number from their deities. They even have this huge fish that if you touch it, you will get lucky or get your wish come true. I did touched the fish and I wish that one day, BoA will stand at my door step. Come on fishy, grant my wish! =D
After visiting all these places, Jie Jing and I traveled to Kluang by bus and it has been a long time since I sat in an open air bus. Once we reached there, Chee Hoe is the one who provide us the accommodation and took us around the town. I feel guilty for disturbing him as he purposely go in and out from the hospital to fetch us around. Have to find one day to pay back his kindness.
From left: Jie Jing, Chee Hoe and me. His place is so comfy that I don’t mind spending extra days there.
Hehe, we conquered another mountain! It was a bit tiring but it was worth it. Eventhough the waterfall at the Gunung Lambak is a super mini version (I’m not sure whether can it be called as waterfall), the water is really refreshing and cool, after all that hiking.
From left: Me, my bag and Jie Jing.
A chinese temple in Kluang. The temple is well maintained and look at that dragon decor! How cool is that!!
There are more pictures but I didn’t upload everything because the files are kinda big. It was a fun trip and I plan to visit there again. ^^
