31st Run: Batman 80th Anniversary Night Run

In the beginning of the run, I wasn’t too happy with the way it was organized. With its price tag and the brand name, I was hoping that the organizer could spend a little bit more effort and money for a better route. It’s cool to form a partnership with Sunway (Sunway partly provided the venue for the run and in return, they will get more customers than usual; be it hotel or shopping mall. Win-win), but to have the starting line inside Sunway Lagoon is kinda ridiculous. The entrance of the park definitely wasn’t design for having few hundred of people standing and waiting.

It was very packed and narrow, because again, the water park wasn’t design for huge running event. What make it worse is the attitude of the participants. Selfie and welfie are fine, but please do it at the side of the route. Having a group of people stop and stand in the middle of the narrow route to take welfie can be so frustrating. And family with children, it’s great that you guys used this activity as bonding time but please, don’t walk in a single horizontal line. Running in this event is like running through a moving maze.

After reaching the finishing line, they give out the medal but that’s it. No mineral water, no banana, no bread, just medal. As I walk inside the Sunway Lagoon (need to walk through to exit), there are booths selling food and drinks and since there is no mineral water or food provided, desperate people would have no choice (Sunway win all the way). The only thing that makes me feel good about this run is the medal. It is well made and the weight of the medal makes it feel more ‘grand’. Without a doubt that this is now my favourite medal among my collection.

Thank god I put in effort to finish the run as fast as I can because on the way out, I saw the Batman-costumed guy and they are about to lead him to somewhere else. Managed to catch up to him and have a picture taken. He’s not the real Batman but close enough.

29th Run: Milo Breakfast Fun Run

In case if you ask on what is the best thing about this run, the answer will be the milo drink served from the milo truck. It’s a mystery on how milo always taste the best when it is served from the truck. It is as if the truck served the same function as wine cellar to wine.

 

28th Run: Score Day Run 13km (22/07/2018)

If you recalled the previous post (27th Run Score Night Run 13km), the distance is the same which is 13km. The only difference is that this run is conducted during the day time, and yup, I ran a lot faster and didn’t feel like dying when cross the finishing line.

By the power of sunlight!

The cool thing about this run is that it’s a part two of the series, meaning the night medal and day medal can be combined into one, making it a more complete medal.

Gotta hand it to them for that creativity (and also the way of making more money).
